Selecting from their extensive gin library, Waterhead has chosen well-known, and well-loved Hendrick’s as their Gin of the Month.
Launched in 1999, Hendricks gin was the new feather in the cap of William Grant & Son, notable for whiskies such as Glenfiddich, Balvenie and, of course, Grants. In 2003, Wall Street Journal described Hendrick’s as the ‘best gin in the world’. They went on to sweep the boards at the San Francisco World Spirits competition in 2005 and 2012.
Eleven of the commonly used gin botanicals are cleverly combined before adding Bulgarian Rose and Cucumber to give the unique Hendricks flavour. A cucumber garnish is a signature service in Hendricks gin and helps to infuse the gin flavours further in the glass.
Cocktail – Hendrick’s Bucks Club
Ingredients
- 30ml Hendricks’s Gin
- 5ml cherry brandy
- 45ml fresh orange juice
- 15ml fresh tangerine juice
- 90ml Champagne
Method
Shake the first 4 ingredients together over ice, strain into chilled flute – top with Champagne.
