For twelve consecutive years the UK has celebrated Chocolate Week to magnifying the nation’s favourite flavour and put a spotlight on innovative new recipes and food combinations. From 10th – 16th October there will be a flood of events and an explosion of chocolate treats trickling out from north, south, east and west.
Lancaster House Head Chef, Damien, has put together a special Chocolate Week three-course menu to show just how versatile the little cocoa bean has become.
Throughout the course of this week he will be sharing the recipes for each of these dishes, but come along to The Foodworks restaurant to taste them before you try it at home.
Pan Fried King Prawns, with chocolate & chilli tomato chutney, served with warm crusty bread
Char-Grilled Beef Medallion Fillets with a Chocolate & Coffee Crust, served with pan fried oyster mushroom sauce and baby vegetables
Hot Chocolate Fondant, served with clotted cream & fresh strawberries
