Hoxton, the latest gin to feature as Waterhead‘s Gin of the Month, is perfect for a classic English cocktail. To add this to your Christmas repertoire, we’ve also added a wonderful English daiquiri recipe below.
Creative Centre of London
Describing their company as the creative centre of London, Hoxton Gin is of the most distinctive gins in the world due to the combination of flavours within the gin. Owner, Gerry Calabrese, created Hoxton gin after several attempts to find his perfect gin.
Perfecting the Gin
Good quality French summer wheat is used to create the alcohol behind the gin, but it’s the botanical ingredients that create the unique flavour. They take the classic Juniper base and adds exotic flavours including coconut, grapefruit, iris, tarragon and ginger. The ingredients are macerated for five days before a single distillation in 150 year old copper pot stills. It’s then filtered and rested in steel tanks for two months. We believe it’s worth the wait. The taste is smooth and so very different from other gins on the market.

Hoxton English Daiquiri Cocktail
- 20ml Lemon juice
- 20ml Crème de Cacao
- Dash of sugar syrup
- 50ml Hoxton gin
