The Wild Boar Festival of Smoke – Sunday 22nd March

It’s back! After the success of the first Festival of Smoke last year, it is going to be bigger and better this year! We take a look at what we can expect to experience this year…

Starting a 12 noon the day features some fantastic attractions such as:

Food Smoking demonstrations

Smoky Jo and Georgina who run our The Wild Boar Smoking Courses, will be on hand to guide you through the stages of smoking food. You can sample the amazing produce from our on site smokehouse including wild boar sausage, salmon, steaks, cheese and a few surprises!

The Wild Boar Brewhouse

The Brewhouse will be open with the master brewer Tim, from Fell Brewery, on hand to talk you through the art of making real ale and taste out home brewed ales including Mad Pig, Smoked Porter and Hog’s 54!

Smoked Themed Menu from the Grill

Dine at The Wild Boar 12 noon to 8pm. Lunch at The Gill will be served with Brewhouse beer bats and in the evening our Smoked taster menu will be a very special feast. We will also have a smoked twist on our traditional Sunday Roast. Advanced booking advised! Telephone: 015934 45225

Fun in The Wild Boar Woods

Venture into our private woodland and discover Woodmatters bush craft who will be providing taster sessions, Clay pigeon shooting, Swedish candle making and Charcoal making demonstrations too.

Meet Local Suppliers

The Wild Boar is proud of its partnerships with some of the very best local supplier. Come and meet a selection of them and sample their own products, including Lakes Distillery, Wilson’s of Kendal, Fell Brewery and Smoky Jo’s.
