UK Coffee Week at Waterhead

At Waterhead we love coffee. So much so, that we wanted to be able to create the perfect cuppa, which means using the freshest and best quality beans right here in Ambleside, at the hotel.

What better way to celebrate our love for coffee than to support UK Coffee Week, which gives coffee lovers a chance to enjoy new and exciting blends while supporting charities relating to the origin of their favourite beans.

UK Coffee Week supporting the Waterfall Project Tanzania

UK Coffee Week runs from 7th-13th April 2014, and coffee providers all over the country will be putting on special events and raising money for the elected charity, which this year is Project Waterfall. The project aims to raise £100,000 to deliver safe drinking water to the remote community in the Mbulu District of coffee-growing country Tanzania.

Coffee, Cake and Roasting Demonstration

Coffee

As one of the only venues in the North West to roast our own coffee right here in The Lake District, Waterhead will be taking part in UK Coffee Week in several ways.

We will donate 25 pence from every coffee, and 50 pence from every coffee and cake combo we sell towards Project Waterfall.

We will also be featuring the exclusive Tanzania Peaberry Arabica coffee bean on sale. Tanzania produces around 50,000 tons of coffee every year, and the Peaberry beans are the most prized Arabicas, and make up only around 3% of the overall crop.

During UK Coffee week, Waterhead will also be showing demonstrations of our coffee roasting, and will happily talk to any guests interested in the process, or any of the different coffee beans we offer.

Please feel free to come and along enjoy a delicious cup of freshly roasted coffee (made exactly to your preference!), while supporting a very worthy cause.
